It was certainly a run to remember because I almost died on the road. -_-" When I saw the '5 km' sign board, I regretted joining 10km run. Cause I had to cover another half of the journey!! My mind was not onhow long will it take for me to reach the finishing line, instead if I could make it to the ending point without fainting halfway. We made it to the finishing point eventually =) 1 hour 25 mins. Someone said it was 'long'! But Jen n I are pretty 'proud' of our result because we didn't train for the run. And what really matters was we completed the run with persistence!! *applaud*

I recalled those runs I joined during school days... and the grin I used to have when I receive the top 10 female runner. Honestly, that was one of the greatest achievement in my school days. Sound pathetic huh lolz. I always enjoy running around the field outside my school during PE, run & stop at different intervals and always reach the finishing point with my body burning inside out, yet completely overwhelmed with satisfaction.
I didn't feel the same satisfaction after my 10km run. I sweated and got the medal not because I run like hell, but because I crawled to the end under the hot sun. Sound disappointing ya? Haha.

It was a miserable friday at work. Unlucky to be late for work with Lina because the cab driver drove SUPER SLOW. and unlucky to have medication error when I helped my colleague to serve her medications when she was busy.
The nurse manager (overall in-charge of the ward) scolded Lina n I inside the office for a solid 30 mins. And I tried to hold my tears back. I sobbed when the scolding ended, and Lina gave me a comfort pat despite the agony she went through with me. I feel guilty, to have made this stupid mistake. For a moment I wished I had not helped =(
For the rest of the day, I never had a moment of peace. Sister Janet knew we were feeling depressed, and she shared her mishap that happened when she was 6 months old as a nurse then. And I told her she was new when she made the mistake, it was pardonable. But I'm already more than a yr old nurse and it is not excusable for me.
I skipped ward meeting that day. I told her I am afraid I will cry in the room. She relented and told us to get some rest instead.
Lina and I left to meet Anna after work... Our initial plan to have a good time out together, dampened our mood after that incident. Both of us shared the same woes. Together we were late for work, together we were scolded like hell for the mistake, together we showered in cold water due to the faulty heater, and together we shared a small towel after bath because I forgotten to pack mine. WHAT LUCK! But I am grateful I wasn't walking this miserable path alone.
We still proceeded with the arrangement to watch a funny movie and had a heartfilling dinner. To distress, sister janet said. We watched Connected at AMK hub, it was a fantastic show! The show gave us palpitations- so exciting~~! ANd it was really funny, we laughed n laughed. The generous robber and the sissy salesman topped the chart A good remedy for a bad day =) Received a msg from sister janet in the middle of the movie asking if we were alright... So sweet ;) I am lucky to have a understanding nurse clinician whom always help us through the dilemma we faced.
Next we had sushi for dinner... I pointed everything that looked NICE and Lina said OK OK ORDER... Like free one arh.

Crazy us actually planned to watch midnite movie after dinner, THE COFFIN, as we planned to stay overnite at Lina's house.. But we ended up chatting and laughing in her room and missed the show time lolz. And I lost my voice after laughing too much. My throat was killing me~!~

Shot 2 WE squeezed on the same bed and slept at 3am plus... till the next afternoon 2pm. Really tired man.
Went home to change and went to tam with CF in the evening. Decided to have a feast before the strenuous run the following morning. Had Din TaiFeng for dinner, then went to Hagen Daz for ice cream~~ yummy.
I really lost my voice. Ha..
There are times I feel I am not recognised for the good I had done. I could have done all the right things but noone will bother. But 1 mistake I make, and the attention is on me. Speak of fairness? It is never in my dictionary. I help others, but I got myself into trouble. At the end of the day, I made the mistake which I could have prevented by not helping. Sometimes I rather I am less helpful =(
But there are always some ppl whom bring a smile n warmth to my heart. THey are also ppl whom I helped ;)
Aimlessly I walked, hoping to catch sight of his shadow. I guessed I had lost him when I dashed out of the car while he was parking. He called but I refused to tell him where I was. When I did, I said I was on the bus back home when I was actually standing at the bus-stop hoping he would figure out I was there. Stupidly, he believed me. Andstubbornly I hung down the call and waited, waited for him to have the instinct that I was lying. But he always take my words for it and decided to pack his army stuff for booked in tat nite before driving down to my house. I sat at the void deck opposite his block to keep a lookout for his sudden appearance, and waited unknowingly. My unyielding attitude stopped me from the several attempts to call him, as I fidgeted my hp in my hand. Hunger striked me.... I relented and called him, but there was no answer. I sat there blankly... pondering what to do next. And then I saw a shadow nearing me, it was him. I looked away braving a strong front. He gave me a tight hug and pecked on my cheek, The warmth n familiarity came back in his embrace. He told me never to walk away from him and he will not leave me alone again... I teared, and blissful to be back to his side.
The 1st time I walked away was 2 yrs back and I told myself never to do it again. But I did it again today. I will make this the last time. Walking away n not being found is forlorn.
I hope ming will be granted his leave slot for december and that I will get my requested days off, and both of us will enjoy a beautiful weekend in Malacca =) Sounds too good to be true....? I hope it does happen =)

Went to Hard Rock Cafe with ming and friends last friday. No bday cake, no bday song and no bday pranks- He likes it plain, and simple.... and he had it =) Games, live band and dinner with his buddies. The liveband played 'Don't look back in anger' by Oasis as requested by dear. 1 of our favorutie song~
WE drank, and played card game which I brought along (ming's suggestion), and played pictionary (highlight of the nite). Guessed n laughed loudly at the drawings n answer... Simple words like rock, photo, blanket, head sounds easy to guess, but difficult to draw out... Yet everyone guessed fast n correctly... *smart guys* When it was my turn to draw, Ragu gave me the word homosexual which he kept for my turn... lolz... Clever ming got the right answer after 2 attempt... haha~
I drank only half the glass of alcohol but my body was already burning. Face flushed, and I got sleepy before my main course was served -_-" Is better to have such symptoms when clubbing as it wld dispel with the energy used in dancing =p
Total bill added up to $280 plus.... Hmmm... I dunno who paid for me actually.. Cause when I wanna pay ming back, he said no need. His treat? lolz. (kinda vice versa ar, bday boy's treat)

Came the actual day, I woke up slightly earlier than before and prepared some food for the mini picnic. =) Is actually easy to prepare his meal so long stick to the criteria of no salt, no oil, less sugar, less carbo, lots of water and fruits! And most importantly, his meat must be steamed. Must be healthy. So..... I made sandwiches- with wholemeal bread, salmon, egg (removed the yokes), lots of lettuces. No dressing and no jam... Health bo =)
And my special lunchbox- rice, steamed chicken, lots of veg and egg. I call it BIBIMBAP. Bibibam is a koren pot rice which u can find in korean food stall.. Also 1 of his favourite. ANd he always tell me it was a simple dish to whip, which I shd be able to cook.. And so I did it.. Except mine is local bibimbap =p

After many thoughts of what to get for him, I decided on this last minute. And I will borrow it to HK next month =)
Collected my goodie bag at Millenia Walk yesterday, 2 more weeks to the run! *so excited* wohohoho No, I didn't train AT ALL, and I'm excited because I will be WALKING and GOSSIPING with Jen for that 10KM journey... -_-"""""""" LOLZ. I had a lovely weekend with dear to celebrate his 21st birthday =) I am lucky to have weekend off as requested, & lucky dear can book out on weekend :) yippie!
High fever, body ache and sore throat. Pharyngitis and swollen lymph node the doctor said. And he gave me 2 days MC =( MC queen.. Already used up 12 days of mc this yr ''! A very sick yr for me~~~ My goal next yr is to decrease my MC rate by half!!!
Had my weekends off after completion of 4 nite shifts. FINALLY!!!! That 4 nights were kinda bad. Especially the last nite. Never ending work to do... OMG.
On my sleeping day, Friday, went to city plaza in the evening for... HAIR EXTENSION!! Kinda impromptu, and decided to try it out as it looked interesting :) Coincidentally a few of my colleagues also had hair extnsion lately... is it a trend now? lolz. I was thinking... instead of getting my hair damage by perming it when it's long, I might as well pay cheaper, and less harmful alternative to have curly hair :) And tata!! I had on my fake real curly hair :)
I made an appointment at 4pm, and I arrived on the dot. And I waited 2 hours for my turn... Mine took only 1.5 hours to complete.. Total 150 strands of hair braided onto my real hair.. nicely. Painless, except a few occassions the lady pulled my real hair real hard when she was in the midst of some juicy gossip with her colleague... *ouch*
I missed the dinner with ming n his mum on that day too... My appointment was delayed n ended nearly 8pm. So went to city hall to meet Liz and CF... Kept CF in suspense as I told her I was going to do something that day, without giving her the deatil on what exactly I was doing... So their reaction when they saw me.... amused? lolz!
The next day went to town with Kelly, Sharon n JJ. Kinda unexpected of me extending my hair I supposed? Even sis was surprised when I told her about it... Maybe not everyone fancy the idea of having on fake hair ar? To be frank, it's better if I grow them. Kinda disturbing to sleep with the braids on (to secure the hair), washing & brushing of hair is a hindrance as well... Can't be too hard n rough.. Wonder if I could maintain it until I'm back from HK? haha. It said 6 months if well taken care of.... HMMMMMmmmmm....?_? Can I?

Went back home for dinner after meeting them... Mum's bday! Every year we would eat outside... Except this yr... Had steamboat at home, and gave mum $100 ang bao with sis, and bought her cake and paid for the groceries etc.. I liked kinda gathering... Be in in the restaurant or at home... It's always cozy and nice. Ming came too :) And cleared most of the food.. That's y my parents like to have him around especially when there are too much food to be consumed =p
Kinda traditional to have a bday cake for bday in my family.. =) Bday without a bday cake from my family is really werid. I hope this blessing will sustain for a very very long time :)

We played majong for a few hours.... Ming, my parents, me and sis (took turn). N ming left for his soccer match near midnight, while we continued the game of majong! Hk's family favourite pastime lolz.
Next day, Sunday, woke up late and meet dear in the afternoon. We had steamboat with his mum n grandma at Golden Mile. (-__-) Kinda 'stressed' as it was my 1st time eating with his grandma haha. The few times I saw his grandma was during occassions when ming brought me to her house to sit around then... Kinda cute grandparents :) Reminded me of my own grandma whom I will be seeing very soon next month =)
Went to Downtown East E-Hub for movie before he booked in. Watched Big Stan, a comedy. And we looked around for his mum's bday gift, which is only 1 day before dear's. So qiao. I always say her mum's most memorable bday gift should be the day ming was born. Hers is the 11th OCT and ming's the 12th OCT.. So qiao :)
So back to work after a lovely weekend... And today work was busy!!! ALWAYS THAT BUSY. But to be positive, there's always better things waiting ahead :)
