Hong Kong & China's trip 2008

After weeks of procrastinating, here is the post on my Hong Kong & China trip 2008 finally!
20th November to 30th November 2008 happy journey :)
Departure Day
On the day of departure, ming drove us to the airport.
So many luggages...

Yong's first time taking plane..
He was so excited on the way.

Departure gate- the start of our journey =)

Waiting to board the plane..

4 hours of flight and we reached HK airport finally :)
So excited....
His 1st picture in HK

The streets in HK at night was COLD and WINDY!!!
Finally reached grandma's place and was welcomed by this cute dog..
My aunt calls her 'ball ball' because she shapes like a ball haha.

Even my mum whom dislike dogs thinks she is cute too...
Even surprisingly, the cat which has been with my grandma since my last visit 3 yrs back was still there.
Dog and cat living under the same roof...
THe active dog is actually afraid of the fierce cat. HMMMmmmmmmmmmmm

How I want to put her into my luggage n bring her home lolz.
She is a dear....
She would always climb onto my lap when I sat on the floor and lay there comfortably...
ANd she only does that to me lolz..
Mum said maybe ball ball knew I dote her a lot.. cute*
Some restaurants in HK allows u to bring dogs in.
And I brought her along to the restaurant for dinner once.
It obediently sat and waited to be fed :) So cute.
Why can't sg be more flexible to allow such 'bonding' between pet and owner.. ?

Shen Zheng and Guang Zhou- Day 2

THe next morning we took a train to Shen Zheng.
A day of eating, manicure & pedicure and shopping!

Mum and Sis in the midst of service lolz.

N who says guys do not take care of their nails huh?

Spent 3 to 4 hours mani & pedi-curing,
then went to shop before taking the evening train to Guang Zhou...
Sis and I bought a pair of boots each, happy :)
CHEAP AND SO MANY VARIETIES AVAILABLE!!!
SHOE PARADIZE.
I love boots.
It is so much comfortable than any other foot wears, really.
But sadly, singapore is not a very suitable place to wear boots HAIZ.

REached Guang Zhou on the same night and cousin fetched us to the hotel.
That night, we had dinner with Grandma and my uncle's family....
So heartwarming :)
Day 3- the day of cousin's wedding
After morning tea, 2 of my cousins n her bf accompanied us to the famous streets to shop before the wedding dinner.

Took this outside our hotel room while waiting for the rest to be ready in the morning... *yawn*

Crowded streets..
MANY MANY SHOPS as u can see...
The length of Orchard Road to Dhoby Ghaut or maybe even City Hall, flooded with shops n malls.

Sis and I were shopping, patroning almost every shoe and apparels shop, while the rest just followed.. haha.
Kinda stress to shop when the rest were not...
Well, they said it was their task lolz.
Night time at the restaurant for cousin's wedding.

All my cousins :)
1st time with all my cousins (mother's side) around.
Pathetic right, haha.

The nice scenery outside the restaurant

Day 4- Shopping
Next day went to another famous street to continue our shopping.

And we had wanton mee in the shop :)
Nice noodle.. yummy

BIG candy floss
Yong stealing a bite..

After a day of endless walking,
cousin brought us for foot massage,
CHEAP!
SG$6 for an hour, inclusive a few mins of body massage before starting...
An enjoyment :)

Even the youngest one had the luxury to soak his feet in the warm herbal water.

Nite time, we had another scrumptious dinner.
That day we ate 4 meals. How I missed it :(

With my grandma

Mum & I in the hotel
That was our last nite in Guang Zhou.
The next morning we took a ferry to Macau.

Macau- Day 5

Stayed in Venetian hotel for a night...
Another luxury :)
One of my auntie whom works there got us half price for the hotel stay,
how nice!!
And the smallest room is a suite!!
How grand!

This is the bathroom... behind that white door is the toilet...
So spacious!

The comfy beds..

The room!

The big round mirror

EXPENSIVE burger set!
This cost SG $22.
I can buy 2 sets of carl's junior meal in sg.

That is the foodcourt,
nice place, and even NICER price.

Look so 'church like'

The hotel

Window sit in the room
2 loving hearts
AHH
Day 6- Back to Hong Kong
Touching up in the bathroom...
Taking my own sweet time lolz.

The hotel bath robe...

We took a cab out of the hotel to some place.
ANd we had this pork burger n noodle.. yummy.

Afternoon time, we took the express ferry back to HK!!
And that marked our last few days of holiday.

Hong Kong- Day 7

Our HK breakfast- ham n egg sandwiches
The egg yolk is dripping... onto the plate...

HK MTR

on the way to......? Make a guess..

Needs to queue for tickets...

OCEAN PARK!!!

The long escalator

Rollar Coaster behind

Underwater world

Dolphin show

Bro in law on the 'free fall'

He was somewhere up there

We took it too!!!
Don't believe?
See for urself..

WAHHHH!!

Ok, it is a scam =p

Here is where u call 'theme park'

Sis is hungry...

So am I!

Happy after eating burger..

High in mid air

That is the GIANT rollar coaster...
Sis n I sat on that monster once when we were still very young many yrs ago.
We were the dare devils then.
Asked me to sit on that again,
NO WAY!!

Burger in the shark mouth

Fruitful reward :)

Taking hot air balloon... flying off soon!!

Us on cable car...
Can u see the beautiful land?

cable car down to the lower portion of the park

Night time, we took the tram to the peak :)

HK nite scenery...
Now u need to pay a few dollars to come up here...
..... 3 yrs back when I was here with EHJ it was free...
sianz.

Did I mention that the wind was very STRONG that nite?
N I gave my jacket to cover my nephew.. BBbrrrrr..

The wind slapped strongly against me and I almost flew off... haha
It was so.... COLD YET FUN!!

Mum and I

Day 8- Lantau Island and Disneyland

Mountains everywhere

The cute couples

The real couples haha

Let's make a wish =)

What did sis wish for?

Cable car again

The beautiful land

The mickey mouse train

Inside the train..

mickey mouse handle

Even the seats r comfy

The tickets to entry

On arrival :)

Balancing well..

disney toot toot train

Long queue everywhere, even taking photos with disney characters also need to queue.
So we chose the shortest queue..

The devil wants to eat

Tea cup

Beautiful castle

Foresee ur future here

Auto car

The small little world....

The last show was the fireworks.
It started to 'snow' as everyone started to leave...
fake snow that was.
Disneyland is the children's paradise..
Not adults, not as fun as ocean park.

Day 9- Shopping at lady's street
We went shopping with cousin.
We didn't buy many clothing because everywhere were selling cold wears...
What a waste...
We had covered the sky, road and sea transport within 10 days :)
I like the cold weather there too....
Very chilling and got to wear thick clothing :)
But the down side was, there weren't many summer clothing to shop during this season.
Day 10- Home
I wasn't sad that the journey had ended.
Because I finally get to see ppl whom I had missed dearly back in singapore :)

I was disappointed at work and upset over some comments.
Shared it with a friend today during break and her words comforted me a little.
After work met up with CF after our long holiday respectively,
and felt more relieved after telling her the story.
Back to a happy gal now :)

One of them told me,
Others can comment on what u do, ignore it and it will be resolved somehow.
Maybe.

I was at Plaza Sing while waiting for ming few days back and saw some lucky dolls in a shop.
THe word lucky captured my attention.
I was thinking, 'maybe this is what I need now, luck.'
Knowing that the lucky dolls doesn't possess any supernatural powers to bring me any luck, but I still bought 1 for myself.
To encourage myself to move on n work hard, hahaa.
Crazy I know. 1st time buying DOLLS for myself.
I bought 1 for ming and 1 for CF, hoping to bring a smile to them too haha!
Must take care of it ar... =p

Watched Beast Stalker with ming few days back,
this movie was launched in HK during my stay there and I had planned to watch it once I return.
It was only rated 2 stars in yahoo movie, and ming was havign doubt to watch it.
I ignore it's rating n went ahead to watch it- I believe in my judgement that it is going to be a nice film hahaa!
Indeed it was, a catchy one! =)

After work today went to Cineleisure with Lina for movie, Cape 7.
THe review of this movie was wonderful, which I had quite high hopes on it.
But it was disappointing, which I would only rate it 2 stars or less.
Or maybe I do not know how to appreciate kinda touchy show.

Lately I have been thinking a lot.
I am tired of repeating, waiting and anticipating some things.
I questioned if I am going to be happy if somethings r left unchange?
Will things ever be better?

I want more.
No, I NEED more.

Sometimes I feel like giving up to search for what I need.
I'm not sure how satisfied I will be if I chose that path.
I thought, maybe I will get more in return if I were to stay.
So I'm here.
Hoping and still beliving is the right choice.

But I don't know if there were going to be a day I am drained and decide to run away from all these,
and never return.

Dad's bday

Today is Dad's birthday,
went to Long Beach at East Coast Park for dinner.
Ming brought along a bottle of red wine to the restaurant too.
Sis n I are crab lovers- we consumed most of the chili crabs and black pepper crabs =)

Bought a new dvd player with my coupon at Giant today.
And ming fixed the played in the living room for us.
Mum started to watch the HK drama- Heart of Greed.
Bought the Hk dramas- vol 1 & 2 in HK, fair bargain ;)

The fastest way to lose weight... go to work

Today was one of the WORST morning shift, again.
I was busy with 2 patients whom I spent the whole day on.
1 whom needed urgent ICU bed, while another needed urgent S/C continuous sedation etc..
And I had yet to do the morning doctor's round changes for the other patients.
How I wished there were 2 of me.

It was already 5.30pm when I finally got to sit down to complete my 2 discharges report,
when I should be off duty at 3.15pm.
Left the ward only at 6.30pm...
And no help was offered throughout, how sad.
I am not expecting anyone to help me when they have their own responsibilities too,
but how nice would it be if someone offer to help when u r struggling to multi- task alone.
It needs not be excessive, even words of concern would have make me feel much better.

And it was not my team-mates whom noticed it.
It was the palliative doctor whom had been struggling with that patient with me for the whole afternoon noticed I was still busy around in the evening.
ANd she even apologised for stressing me n told me to take it easy.
I was comforted for a moment.
But ain't it ironical to hear that from someone whom I had worked with for only 2 days while the others had been with me for a yr?

SHAG. 2 more days to my weekends off.
I do need a good rest.

Hunger

I miss those few days in China where we ate 4 heavy meals everyday.
1st day back to work and I had to skip my lunch n dinner.
1 biscuit n milo for breakfast until night when I reached home...
MAn.... Y did I grumble about eating so much when I was in China.... *slap*

Back and going to work =(

YOZ I AM BACK!!!!
=)
Is nice to be home, sleeping on my own bed and showering in my own bathroom.
The only night I slept comfortably was the stay in Macau,
the hotel is LUXURIOUS and really WOW.
The smallest room they have is a SUITE, omg!
I can't imagine how the other rooms look like.

THe room we stayed..

the comfy big bed

THe weather in china and hk is WOW!
COLD AND WINDY!!!
I have to wear 2 long sleeve and a jacket on the outside during the last few days.
The temperature was between 12 to 18 degree celsius, SHIOK!!!
THough cold n having to wear very thick, I like such kinda weather!!!! =)
Something which I can never experience in singapore.
My cousins said it is nice to have only 1 season in singapore etc...
Ironical rite... They like our weather here while most of us prefer theirs.

THe only miserable part about their weather was during the night in HK.
I slept on the upper deck in grandma's room, which was right beside the window.
And grandma doesn't close the window at nite and when the wind blew, it was CHILLED!!!
THe blanket and long sleeve shirt I wore were of no use...

My previous trip back I mentioned about the fierce and unfriendly cat in my grandma's house.
THe cat is still there, together with a puppy! Both under one roof haha.
THe puppy is super duper cute and lovely!
ANd it likes me too :p
ALways came to me when I sat on the floor, and automatically climbed onto my lap instead the rest.
So sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.....

Alright...
Will post in details soon....
Going back to work tml.. pathetic.
Nite!

On leave~

Went to watch Saw 5 with CF, tracy n Liz few days back,
and seems like there will be Saw 6 coming.
Lesser gruesome scene in Saw 5, but nice plot it has.

Next day meet Ming to town and had Pasta at a newly opened shop at Wheelock.
Chose the corner sit with a 'call bell' as our view was hidden by it's structure- n the bell is for our convenience to seek the waitresses attention..
I have to answer call bells at work, and now is time for others to answer my bell :p
Fair-ness.

And it rained heavily yesterday.
We were drenched while walking back to far east car park.
He looked tired when he drove back, and the question popped into my mind.
I asked him would it be nice if I do have a driving license too,
so that I can share his burden at times?
At least when he is tired n sleepy after duty, I could take over his driver's seat while he rest his eyes...
SOunds pretty nice too =)

But with so much things coming next yr, getting a license is the last priority in the list.
- Planning to go Taiwan or Australia (newly added by CF) in May
- Degree application in July
My top priority! =)

Told ming I intended to study degree next yr, and he said I have his full support :)
But it might interefere our plan to go Thai in Dec next yr then :(
I am not keen to spoil any oversea plan with my loved ones.
ANy way to have both??

Today attended Min's ROM in a temple- our 1st time witnessing buddhism wedding custom.
The couple had to walk down the aisle- smiliar to church solenmisation,
and a buddhist lama presides over the wedding.
WEnt to Party world after the ceremony with Cf, Liz, Tracy n Cindy..
Jay Chou rocks the whole room down haha!

More snapshots when I return next week =)

I finally packed and stuffed my clothing and necessities into the luggage tonight.
It is going to be a rush trip as we r going to several places within 10 days... SHIOK!
ANd I am already missing someone.
If only ming could come... =(

Changed

I guess I am difficult to get along with as I grow older.
Now, socialising is a chore to me.

Studying

While looking through the websites for information on nursing degree, I realised I am not keen to study yet.
I just want to have more time n fun after work to spend with boyfriend and friends,
than using my only free time to stress myself in books n exams.

But after some serious thinking, I convinced myself that I do NEED at least a degree to survive in this pathetic country which judges our worth with the certificate we hold.

Sunday, November 16, 2008

The last long break I could remember was last yr when I went to Thailand.
And finally, I am having 2 weeks leave after a long wait,
I deserve it =)

After work today went to golden mile with ming and bought coaches ticket to Malacca =)
And the hotel reservation we made online is also confirmed, double joy.
Now I just have to hope n plead my ward sister will grant my requested off days in December...

Impromptu travel plans seem to work better all the time.
N I seem more eager to go M'sia with ming than HK without ming.
Haha. If only I could have both.

Was telling my colleague to keep me update when I'm away....
Hardworking employee I am ya :p

Friday, November 14, 2008

I love to work!

I am looking forward to work these few days because of 1 person.
My colleague said I am crazy.
I think I am. haha.
*Infatuation*

Ward Dinner

Apart from receiving $200 choice voucher, we had buffet dinner at Rivervale Hotel tonight as part of our post JCI appreciation.
Because it was non-halal dinner, mostly were the chinese that came.
However the muslims make-up dinner would be at Grand Hyatt next week, even nicer =p

A station gals

Many came..

n more...

'Tag u in facebook', we said.
No need for bluetooth if u own a facebook now -_-''''''

Car Accident

Lucky or unlucky?
My 1st time involved in a car accident in the middle of CTE :(

It was supposed to be a nice morning with ming coming over to my place after his overnight duty to have breakfast together.
And he was sending me to work when the mishap happened.
Not much of physical damage but according to ming, it might be costly despite the small dent of the other party's car. SAD.
But very lucky the car was moving at a slow rate as we were caught in a jam, thus no one was injured.

Hope the outcome would not be that severe.... *pray hard for him*

Ministry of Sound's gone

MOS is closed!!
I seemed to be late in updates...
Only to realise today when sis mentioned of going to St James next month,
and I asked 'y not MOS?', she said it was closed.
I said incredulously 'nah.. impossible... everyone goes there now'.
But it is true when I went online to find out more!
MOS has shut down!

I'm sad =(
I don't like zouk,
I don't like st james.
I only like going to MOS.
Looks like Zouk is going to be full house every Wednesday n weekends with 1 club down.
SAD!! =(
I can't wait for the next roaster to come =)

My first 10km road run

A late entry on my 1st road run =)

It was certainly a run to remember because I almost died on the road.
-_-"
When I saw the '5 km' sign board, I regretted joining 10km run.
Cause I had to cover another half of the journey!!
My mind was not onhow long will it take for me to reach the finishing line, instead if I could make it to the ending point without fainting halfway.
We made it to the finishing point eventually =)
1 hour 25 mins. Someone said it was 'long'!
But Jen n I are pretty 'proud' of our result because we didn't train for the run.
And what really matters was we completed the run with persistence!!
*applaud*

The energy boost after run

Our hard earned medal

I recalled those runs I joined during school days... and the grin I used to have when I receive the top 10 female runner.
Honestly, that was one of the greatest achievement in my school days.
Sound pathetic huh lolz.
I always enjoy running around the field outside my school during PE, run & stop at different intervals and always reach the finishing point with my body burning inside out, yet completely overwhelmed with satisfaction.

I didn't feel the same satisfaction after my 10km run.
I sweated and got the medal not because I run like hell,
but because I crawled to the end under the hot sun.
Sound disappointing ya? Haha.
I swear to reformat my computer by TODAY.
Or I will dump it .
*pissed with virus attacked lappie*

Black Friday

It was a miserable friday at work.
Unlucky to be late for work with Lina because the cab driver drove SUPER SLOW.
and unlucky to have medication error when I helped my colleague to serve her medications when she was busy.

The nurse manager (overall in-charge of the ward) scolded Lina n I inside the office for a solid 30 mins. And I tried to hold my tears back.
I sobbed when the scolding ended, and Lina gave me a comfort pat despite the agony she went through with me.
I feel guilty, to have made this stupid mistake.
For a moment I wished I had not helped =(

For the rest of the day, I never had a moment of peace.
Sister Janet knew we were feeling depressed, and she shared her mishap that happened when she was 6 months old as a nurse then.
And I told her she was new when she made the mistake, it was pardonable. But I'm already more than a yr old nurse and it is not excusable for me.

I skipped ward meeting that day.
I told her I am afraid I will cry in the room.
She relented and told us to get some rest instead.

Lina and I left to meet Anna after work...
Our initial plan to have a good time out together, dampened our mood after that incident.
Both of us shared the same woes.
Together we were late for work,
together we were scolded like hell for the mistake,
together we showered in cold water due to the faulty heater,
and together we shared a small towel after bath because I forgotten to pack mine.

WHAT LUCK!
But I am grateful I wasn't walking this miserable path alone.

We still proceeded with the arrangement to watch a funny movie and had a heartfilling dinner.
To distress, sister janet said.
We watched Connected at AMK hub,
it was a fantastic show!
The show gave us palpitations- so exciting~~!
ANd it was really funny, we laughed n laughed.
The generous robber and the sissy salesman topped the chart
A good remedy for a bad day =)
Received a msg from sister janet in the middle of the movie asking if we were alright...
So sweet ;) I am lucky to have a understanding nurse clinician whom always help us through the dilemma we faced.

Next we had sushi for dinner...
I pointed everything that looked NICE and Lina said OK OK ORDER... Like free one arh.

Big size fish head soup~

Lina & Anna

The 2 sad gals

Crazy us actually planned to watch midnite movie after dinner, THE COFFIN,
as we planned to stay overnite at Lina's house..
But we ended up chatting and laughing in her room and missed the show time lolz.
And I lost my voice after laughing too much.
My throat was killing me~!~

Shot 1

Shot 2

WE squeezed on the same bed and slept at 3am plus... till the next afternoon 2pm.
Really tired man.

Went home to change and went to tam with CF in the evening.
Decided to have a feast before the strenuous run the following morning.
Had Din Tai Feng for dinner, then went to Hagen Daz for ice cream~~ yummy.

I really lost my voice.
Ha..

There are times I feel I am not recognised for the good I had done.
I could have done all the right things but noone will bother.
But 1 mistake I make, and the attention is on me.
Speak of fairness? It is never in my dictionary.
I help others, but I got myself into trouble.
At the end of the day, I made the mistake which I could have prevented by not helping.
Sometimes I rather I am less helpful =(

But there are always some ppl whom bring a smile n warmth to my heart.
THey are also ppl whom I helped ;)

Hide and Seek

Aimlessly I walked, hoping to catch sight of his shadow.
I guessed I had lost him when I dashed out of the car while he was parking.
He called but I refused to tell him where I was.
When I did, I said I was on the bus back home when I was actually standing at the bus-stop hoping he would figure out I was there.
Stupidly, he believed me.
And stubbornly I hung down the call and waited, waited for him to have the instinct that I was lying.
But he always take my words for it and decided to pack his army stuff for booked in tat nite before driving down to my house.
I sat at the void deck opposite his block to keep a lookout for his sudden appearance, and waited unknowingly.
My unyielding attitude stopped me from the several attempts to call him, as I fidgeted my hp in my hand.
Hunger striked me.... I relented and called him, but there was no answer.
I sat there blankly... pondering what to do next.
And then I saw a shadow nearing me, it was him.
I looked away braving a strong front.
He gave me a tight hug and pecked on my cheek,
The warmth n familiarity came back in his embrace.
He told me never to walk away from him and he will not leave me alone again...
I teared, and blissful to be back to his side.

The 1st time I walked away was 2 yrs back and I told myself never to do it again.
But I did it again today.
I will make this the last time.
Walking away n not being found is forlorn.

Will my dream come true this year end?

I hope ming will be granted his leave slot for december and that I will get my requested days off,
and both of us will enjoy a beautiful weekend in Malacca =)
Sounds too good to be true....?
I hope it does happen =)

Counting down to 1 month,
then sayonara for 10 days!! =)

Looking forward keep me strong n alive.
And I got to work hard, so I can reap what I sow.

Ming's 21st bday post

A late post on Ming's 21st bday =)

Went to Hard Rock Cafe with ming and friends last friday.
No bday cake, no bday song and no bday pranks-
He likes it plain, and simple.... and he had it =)
Games, live band and dinner with his buddies.
The liveband played 'Don't look back in anger' by Oasis as requested by dear.
1 of our favorutie song~

WE drank, and played card game which I brought along (ming's suggestion),
and played pictionary (highlight of the nite).
Guessed n laughed loudly at the drawings n answer...
Simple words like rock, photo, blanket, head sounds easy to guess, but difficult to draw out...
Yet everyone guessed fast n correctly... *smart guys*
When it was my turn to draw, Ragu gave me the word homosexual which he kept for my turn... lolz...
Clever ming got the right answer after 2 attempt... haha~

I drank only half the glass of alcohol but my body was already burning.
Face flushed, and I got sleepy before my main course was served -_-"
Is better to have such symptoms when clubbing as it wld dispel with the energy used in dancing =p

Total bill added up to $280 plus....
Hmmm... I dunno who paid for me actually..
Cause when I wanna pay ming back, he said no need.
His treat? lolz. (kinda vice versa ar, bday boy's treat)

His best buddies*

I like this*_*

Came the actual day,
I woke up slightly earlier than before and prepared some food for the mini picnic.
=)
Is actually easy to prepare his meal so long stick to the criteria of no salt, no oil, less sugar, less carbo, lots of water and fruits! And most importantly, his meat must be steamed.
Must be healthy.
So.....
I made sandwiches- with wholemeal bread, salmon, egg (removed the yokes), lots of lettuces.
No dressing and no jam... Health bo =)

And my special lunchbox- rice, steamed chicken, lots of veg and egg.
I call it BIBIMBAP.
Bibibam is a koren pot rice which u can find in korean food stall..
Also 1 of his favourite. ANd he always tell me it was a simple dish to whip, which I shd be able to cook..
And so I did it.. Except mine is local bibimbap =p

U see egg, chicken meat, cabbages, n tomatoes?

We climbed to the top of Mount Faber and sat infront of this merlion for 'picnic'.

Serene picnic.. No disturbance and quiet =)

Shaded from the blazing sun

Beneath the clear blue sky =)

The bday boy

Surmount the hill

Passed by the henderson wave,
and told ming we shall go there someday...
And we will take more photos again wahaha.

*sense of satisfaction*
Because dear said the sandwiches were nice~~~~! =)
The best sandwiches (even better than subway, I supposed) wohohoo...
And he was really stuffed.
Of course not forgetting ICE WATER on a warm day...
I threw a whole lot of ice into the thermal flask.... =)

After many thoughts of what to get for him,
I decided on this last minute.

And I will borrow it to HK next month =)

2 more weeks to the run! *so excited* wohohoho
No, I didn't train AT ALL, and I'm excited because I will be WALKING and GOSSIPING with Jen for that 10KM journey... -_-""""""""
LOLZ.
Wonder if I would drop on the ground panting and gasping for air...
Hope kinda scene will not happen on me *very malu*

Weekend story

Had my weekends off after completion of 4 nite shifts.
FINALLY!!!! That 4 nights were kinda bad. Especially the last nite. Never ending work to do... OMG.

On my sleeping day, Friday,
went to city plaza in the evening for...
HAIR EXTENSION!!
Kinda impromptu, and decided to try it out as it looked interesting :)
Coincidentally a few of my colleagues also had hair extnsion lately... is it a trend now? lolz.
I was thinking... instead of getting my hair damage by perming it when it's long, I might as well pay cheaper, and less harmful alternative to have curly hair :)
And tata!! I had on my fake real curly hair :)

I made an appointment at 4pm, and I arrived on the dot.
And I waited 2 hours for my turn...
Mine took only 1.5 hours to complete.. Total 150 strands of hair braided onto my real hair.. nicely.
Painless, except a few occassions the lady pulled my real hair real hard when she was in the midst of some juicy gossip with her colleague... *ouch*

I missed the dinner with ming n his mum on that day too...
My appointment was delayed n ended nearly 8pm.
So went to city hall to meet Liz and CF...
Kept CF in suspense as I told her I was going to do something that day, without giving her the deatil on what exactly I was doing...
So their reaction when they saw me.... amused? lolz!

The next day went to town with Kelly, Sharon n JJ.
Kinda unexpected of me extending my hair I supposed?
Even sis was surprised when I told her about it...
Maybe not everyone fancy the idea of having on fake hair ar?
To be frank, it's better if I grow them.
Kinda disturbing to sleep with the braids on (to secure the hair),
washing & brushing of hair is a hindrance as well... Can't be too hard n rough..
Wonder if I could maintain it until I'm back from HK? haha.
It said 6 months if well taken care of.... HMMMMMmmmmm....?_? Can I?

This is how it looks like from the back...
They asked why I chose that colour..
Simply, the bottom of my hair is that colour -_-""
I wanna chose black, but it would not blend to my hair colour then..

My fake real hair :)

Went back home for dinner after meeting them...
Mum's bday!
Every year we would eat outside... Except this yr...
Had steamboat at home, and gave mum $100 ang bao with sis, and bought her cake and paid for the groceries etc..
I liked kinda gathering... Be in in the restaurant or at home... It's always cozy and nice.
Ming came too :) And cleared most of the food..
That's y my parents like to have him around especially when there are too much food to be consumed =p

Kinda traditional to have a bday cake for bday in my family.. =)
Bday without a bday cake from my family is really werid.
I hope this blessing will sustain for a very very long time :)

Ming the photographer...

We played majong for a few hours....
Ming, my parents, me and sis (took turn).
N ming left for his soccer match near midnight, while we continued the game of majong!
Hk's family favourite pastime lolz.

Next day, Sunday, woke up late and meet dear in the afternoon.
We had steamboat with his mum n grandma at Golden Mile.
(-__-)
Kinda 'stressed' as it was my 1st time eating with his grandma haha.
The few times I saw his grandma was during occassions when ming brought me to her house to sit around then... Kinda cute grandparents :)
Reminded me of my own grandma whom I will be seeing very soon next month =)

Went to Downtown East E-Hub for movie before he booked in.
Watched Big Stan, a comedy.
And we looked around for his mum's bday gift, which is only 1 day before dear's. So qiao.
I always say her mum's most memorable bday gift should be the day ming was born.
Hers is the 11th OCT and ming's the 12th OCT.. So qiao :)

So back to work after a lovely weekend...
And today work was busy!!!
ALWAYS THAT BUSY.
But to be positive, there's always better things waiting ahead :)
